The Black Duck, opened in winter 2001, is the sister restaurant to South Beach's acclaimed A Fish Called Avalon.

Nestled in a newly restored 18thcentury brownstone adjacent to the hotel, The Black Duck bar and restaurant takes its name from the rum running boat known for its involvement in an incident that helped end prohibition in the U.S. in the 1920s. The restaurant features a cocktail lounge. The Black Duck's relaxing and inviting interiors boast hardwood floors and alabaster bar.
